The Gauteng Department of Education has recently opened applications for school admissions from grade 1 to grade 8. The applications are opened for admissions for the academic year 2022.

The application window is open from August 10 to September 03, 2021 .

The applications will be invited in two phases, i.e Phase 1 and Phase 2. The Phase 1 admissions will be from 10 August 2021 to 3 September 2021 and the Phase 2 admissions will be from 13 September 2021 to 8 October 2021 . The admissions are not based on a first-come, first-served basis.

How do I apply online for Gauteng schools?

Here’s how you can apply for Gauteng school from grade 1 to 8 2022 admissions:

First and foremost, you have to visit the website www.gdeadmissions.gov.za and click on the Register button.
Then, you have to register with your personal information.
You need to then choose a password and re-enter it for further confirmation.
Post this, you will receive an SMS that will provide you with login credentials (username & password) which you can use further.
Next, you have to enter the student’s details (personal and educational).
Finally, you can apply in up to five schools.
